Xiaomi finally all set to Launch MIUI 9 this month along with a new device, Xiaomi Mi 5X.

Xiaomi took a little long to release MIUI 9 compared to the release of previous versions. But the wait is worth as the MIUI 9 comes with much more exciting features and improvements.

Devices Compatible with Xiaomi MIUI 9

The best part about Xiaomi is it provides MIUI updates even to the older devices like Redmi 1s. MIUI 9 Beta is supported even with older Xiaomi devices.

The following devices are eligible/compatible with MIUI 9 Beta ROM as of now. More devices may be added in future.

MIUI 9 Beta Application date & Release date

• 25th, July 2017 – 1st batch selection info. You will get a PM on Mi forum if selected
• 26th, July 2017 – Official launch of MIUI 9 Beta ROM (China)
• 1st, August 2017  -  Last date to apply for MIUI 9 Beta testing program

NOTE: This is Chinese MIUI 9 Beta ROM (English language), for Global Beta ROM you have to wait a little longer.

How to Apply for MIUI 9 Beta testing program

In order to get a chance to install & get hands on MIUI 9 Beta ROM, you have to go through a simple application process. Follow these simple steps to apply for MIUI 9 Chinese Beta ROM:

1. Download and install MIUI Global Forum app from play store (or) Download apk with this link
2. Open Xiaomi MIUI Forum app, tap on Account icon and Sign-in with your Mi account.
   
3. Get back to app Homepage and tap on Recruitment icon.
   
4. Now the app may auto-detect device info and show “Submitted” message. If not, fill the form and tap on Submit.

Your application is now submitted. If you are selected, you will get a PM on your MIUI forum account on 25th July.

Excited for MIUI 9?

The new MIUI is first available for Mi 6, Redmi Note 4 / 4X  as soon as it is launched and later made available to other devices gradually.
